Todate our mind set hasn't changed.  Hardly they can come to terms with the fact that  grief is  something internal. There is no need of external manifestation which  drastically changes a woman's  exterior.

I don't want things to happen.  God forbid.  If I have to succumb to such an unfortunate thing I will not do things the way the society wants me too which is irrational.

I sympthise your granny who had to really suffer.  I can feel her agony.  Poor lady. Soon I shall be back again with my blogs in Sulekha.
